What I Found at Last didn’t come from a single moment of inspiration—it was shaped by years of quiet reflection and a deep desire to explore the emotional journeys we don’t often speak about openly.
I’ve always been drawn to stories that sit with pain and tenderness, the kind that unfold slowly and honestly. This novel was born out of my fascination with the resilience of the human spirit—especially in women who have been silenced, underestimated, or made to feel like they weren’t enough. Rose’s story is fictional, but the emotions that guide it—grief, confusion, guilt, healing, and strength—are very real.
My intention with this book wasn’t to provide neat resolutions or perfect characters. Instead, I wanted to write something that felt honest. Something that held space for vulnerability, quiet growth, and the strength that builds in silence.
If this story offers even one reader a sense of comfort, recognition, or hope, then I’ve done what I set out to do.
